My good friend John Kennedy regularly sends me quotes that inspire or challenge. My favourite ones, from him and elsewhere, end up on the random quote on the right side of this blog. Here is a good one that is too long for the side bar and needs a bit of digesting.

What do you know about Rzhyshchiv? It’s a really beautiful town!

Cities, like people, are not like each other. Some of them – bright, immediately catch the eyes. Others – not visible, are like a shy girl who hides in the garden.

But if you look into their soul – their long history, then you will see their diamond originality and the greatness of their founders’ acts. Rzhyshchiv extends into the picturesque bay of the Dnipro. Once here, you involuntary think how long did the nature work to create a deep ditch in the valley, so perfectly adapted to life.

Set aside 20 minutes of your time and be prepared to be challenged. Watch The Story of Stuff by Annie Leonard. Sure she has an American accent, but anyone reading this should be challenged. What action should it lead us to. I’m still thinking about this on many different levels. I welcome your thoughts also.

The Bugler lifts his trumpet to his lips and the eerie yet familiar sounds of the Last Post echo through the crisp morning air. Heads bowed we stand in silence, remembering the fallen.

The old site could not be upgraded so we have built a new site. All Jono's images have been imported into the photo galleries. All the RPD and Monthly newsletters are available, but you will need to login to access them. All of the 2007 content has been imported. We are working on getting the 2006 and 2005 content in eventually.
