УЦІМ!

This is the Ukrainian acronym for my business. Yesterday we signed our first contract. Here is a photo of Katya - the first student to join our classes. We signed up four students yesterday and have another sign-up evening today. Classes will start next week, and I expect they will grow by word of mouth.

Please praise God with me. I'm not normally a nervous person. I have been more nervous at various times this week than I can remember in a long time. I am very much aware of my inabilities and my desperate need for reliance upon God. Praise God for all He has done so far, thank Him for the many people who have helped thus far.

AN IMPORTANT NEED FOR PRAYER: I am not only an English teacher, but also the owner and director of a business registered here in Ukraine. Every day I find out more and more what that means and it only gets scarier. Tomorrow I will be meeting with top class (expensive) lawyers in Kyiv. It seems that I may have a problem in my documentation of what I legally can and can't do. I am seeking to learn the laws and requirements - though I rely on translated advice. I feel out of control in this situation - but I want to seek to honour God in all I do.

The aim of the language school (apart from meeting and helping people) is not to be successful in the world's eyes, but to bring honour and glory to the Name of our God.
