So what does it mean to take a year off?
I hope to answer that question more as time goes on - but for now I thought it would be good to let you know where I am and what I'm doing.
I've been in London for 2 weeks supply teaching. This week I'm going to Scotland for a short break as it is mid term break here. I then have another week and a half of teaching in London before heading south - first stop Zambia.

EXCITEMENT
Different people get excited about different things. Here are some examples:
South Africa won the world cup
We had goo pods for dessert
Don Fisher is back in Summer Bay
I bought new running shoes
Etc etc
So many different things for so many different people - yet most things that excite us are temporal.
Today I turned up an hour early to meet a cousin. So I wandered into a small little church building and worshiped God with some brothers and sisters in song. They were a lively bunch singing some old songs. One was a song I remember from my childhood. The last stanza goes like this:
"When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see
Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me"
Now that is what I call exciting!!

Quote Of The Day

In Jesus' case, we have the story of the holiest man who ever lived, and yet it was the prostitutes and thieves who adored Him, and the religious who hated His guts.
