A PLETHORA OF THOUGHTS

What will 2012 hold for me? For you? What does God want for me? How should I live in this world? Where should I live in this world? What is the greatest need? What should a Christian look like to those on the outside? What about poverty? What about corruption? What about war? What about greed? What is my responsibility to the earth’s ecology? What does God think about climate change? Why do people work so hard to get so much money to spend it on a place to live? How should I earn my money?

These are just a few of the thoughts swirling around in my head. Maybe 2012 will help unravel one or two. I hope I get the chance to sit down over a coffee with a few of you this year (those who read this) and maybe discuss one of two of the above questions.

UKRAINE CONNECTIONS

Please pray for Vlad and for the lawyers and judge involved in his case on January 11. Pray for God’s name to be honoured and exalted. Pray for peace for Vlad. Pray for justice and truth. Please also pray for Vlad’s wife Vika and son Matthew.

AUS CONNECTIONS

I spent a few days with Tim and Judith and girls and had a great time hanging out with girls and a good bike ride with Tim. We found a tawny frog mouth separated from its mother.

Then a couple days with Josh and Bec and kids was also just a good hang out time, as well as a few home improvement jobs. I did leave Josh to finish the last one on his own though!

Now I’m with Gollans and helping out at Bribie Island Beach Mission for the week. Please pray for the kids this week. Pray that it will not be by our might or power, but by His Spirit.

This coming Saturday is Jenny Murphy’s wedding back at the farm and then I fly across to NZ for camp with Ruth and Jon. Pray as I prepare the talks for camp.
